Imported from the Philippines this is a really cool felt like material made from fibres extracted from the waste leaves of the pineapple plant.  These leaves are complete waste so this is an awesome innovation.

A fluff is made from the pineapple leaf fibres, then mixed with a polylactic acid to create a mesh, finally going through a finishing process to create a very hardwearing unique product.  I really like this material and it has a good amount of stability which means you don’t need to use additional interfacing.  Environment wise, it’s one of the top products out there.
